Diamond wire

When cutting special thin walled glass capillaries and uneven surfaces made of glass, the right amount of pressure of the cutting tool, which is applied to the glass, is very important. Here, stationary, rigid tools are clearly at disadvantage and easily chip the glass or cause uneven cuts and breaking. For this purpose, we  have developed a special tool, which is used daily at our production. It consists of a handle, in which a thin diamond wire is clamped, instead of a standard ceramic plate. The wire is flexible and is able to carve the surface, without putting too much pressure on the structure. According to the thickness, various wire thicknesses are available. Owing to the application of smallest diamond particles to the surface of the wire, a long lifetime of the tool is guaranteed. By twisting the wire, a sharp cut surface can be produced easily.
